A TREEHOUSE WITHOUT A TREE

This Masterpiece Is An Homage To Nature And Local Crafting Techniques

Sometimes a treehouse doesn’t need a tree to stand out, this beautiful home dubbed the Treewow Villa O located in Yuyao, China stands out but also blends in with its natural surroundings due to its unique and nature-inspired design.

The home features an unconventional yet well thought-out design of the roof. The shape and craftsmanship actually give it a sturdier structure, and at the same time, it helps provide a lot of shade from the hot sun. The house stands elevated on stilts for a lovely vantage point where one can view the lush scenery from anywhere on the wrap-around viewing deck.

The non-linear eave has an extremely high error-tolerant rate, which can be considered as a respect of rural construction to natural laws. During the design and construction process, the architect remained close communications with local craftsmen to achieve a balance between the design form and local construction skills.
