Blurring Boundaries between Indoor and Outdoor

The House that was Built for a Party

The Party Shack , so its called, was design by Prentiss Wickline Balance Architects. Located in Seattle, Washington, it boasts its contemporary design with its relationship of the indoor and outdoor spaces, its curved roof, its high ceiling and its building materials. The use of a concrete building blocks manufactured from wood chip fibers allows the building envelope to remain vapor permeable. The house and the landscape design are made to connect the outdoor and indoor spaces. It also features  a universal design with using ramps instead of stairs. Check out these photos and then tell us what you think on our Facebook Page!
