Bramasole by Herbst Architects
The Bramasole is designed by Herbst Architects. Its most interesting feature is its use of gabions. They are classified to be wirework containers filled with rocks, broken concrete or other material. In this structure, it is used as an exterior wall treatment. Another unique characteristic is the illusion of the structure floating. The house is actually resting on a block work plinth that prevents the house from sinking on the soft ground.
The three main areas of the house are the living area, bedroom and garage. The house is also treated with rhythmic wooden slats that are made to look like packing crates. Take a look through these photos and tell us what you think on our Facebook Page!
