A Taste of Quiet Village Life in Palawan, Philippines
Here at Cabin Obsession, we also fantasize about cabins, cottages, and similar abodes from the other side of the world. Here is another one that caught our eye, and it’s located in Palawan, Philippines.
To those not in the know, Palawan is voted by Travel + Leisure as the best island in the world!
The quaint cottage is in the middle of a rice farm. It sleeps up to 4 people and is close to Honda Bay, one of the best beaches in Palawan. The location is perfect for learning about local village life. It’s also a haven for the nature lover – you’ll definitely see indigenous wildlife that you cannot find anywhere else. Interiors are typical of local houses in the area – it is made of bamboo and other native wood materials.
You can stay at this vacation cottage at $39 per night.
In front of the house are four ponds with local fishes and turtles. Wildlife abounds in the mini forest. Birds, butterflies, geckos, monitor lizards, and freshwater turtles are a common sight. We have our own water system and the house has plumbing and water supply. We are still landscaping some areas of the property but overall, its a peaceful little place where you can relax and enjoy, either alone or with a small group of close friends and family members.
