“A wonderful slice of paradise where bizarrely time stood still”
11km from a second lake in the vicinity, this eco-friendly cabin is located on a private lake in Dordogne, 3km away from the village of Augignac.
Perched on the edge, Fisherman’s Cabin was built with timber from Bob’s sawmill and much love. Inside, there’s a treasure trove of intriguing bits & bobs to keep you busy – from telescopes to microscopes, fishing rods to nature books, art supplies and junk-shop gems.
This cabin for 2 has a tiny eco-footprint with solar powered electric lighting and hot shower, and uses a compost toilet. Besides the queen bed in the private double room, there are two other single beds in the mezzanine overlooking the lake below. This cosy cabin home is available for rent from £88 per night.
