Revitalize Your Senses In This Lovely A-Frame Home
What makes A-Frame houses amazing you ask? Well, the A-Frame concept boasts many advantages when it comes to home design. Especially if you are in a location where it snows, the steeply sloped design of the roof would prevent snow build-up, the angles also offer added support for the overall structure and its sloped interior walls can be more of an asset than a disadvantage.
The owners of this A-Frame home in Heber City, Utah have renovated the traditional design to make it feel warm and cozy. Since A-Frame houses usually have dark interiors, they painted the inner walls white, and with the sloped roof with skylights, it also helped to brighten up the living spaces. This renovation brought in the winter theme of the surrounding environment, while guests can enjoy the comfortable Scandinavian-style furniture.

“We redesigned the cabin with family and good friends in mind,” says Kara. “A-Frame Haus is an homage to my grandfather and a second home to all who enter through its doors. We took the incredible work he had already put into it, and did our best to improve. We feel that the best way to honor his place of solitude is to provide the same opportunity to all who seek peace in the mountains.”
