Le Petite Pointe Cottage

This cabin is located in New Hampshire, and won the People’s Choice and Merit Award in 2011 from the American Institute of Architects. This renovated cabin was relocated away from the shore, allowing for a path to the beach and dock, and also to give it a better view of the lake. The design objective was based around minimizing site impact and reusing as much of the cabin’s original materials to lower costs. The result is nothing short of amazing, with the cozy interiors from the newly exposed ceiling along with the recycled and re-positioned doors and windows. The cabin used a lot of refurbished framing lumber, T&G boards, found items and some period keepsakes for that extra charm and personal touch. Any new materials used are minimal, and with no VOC products. Take a look at these photos and tell us what you think on our Facebook Page!
