THIS COUPLE’S TINY HOME IN THE WOODS IS THE PERFECT PLACE WHERE THEY CAN ENJOY THEIR PASSION FOR POTTERY IN PEACE
Looking for a place to live in busy cities always presents many challenges to any would-be residents. With expensive rent, crowded locations, and environments that do nothing but drain you, it’s no surprise some people have turned to a simpler lifestyle.
Natasha Lawyer and Brett Barshaw first lived in a Volkswagen van then a vintage airstream, so they’re no strangers to the tiny home lifestyle. The couple got their very own tiny home in the woods called the Sugarhouse Homestead. There, they pursued their passion for pottery while living in the modest comfort of their Scandinavian-style home.
Living in a tiny home made them more aware of their belongings. They explain how important it is to maintain harmony among all your things in a tiny home. Don’t be afraid to decorate your home with items you find special to you. The relaxed atmosphere of their home is thanks to their choice of neutral Scandinavian-style design. This consists of the use of simple and minimalistic furniture.
In 2014 Natasha and Brett packed up their belongings and moved to Vermont, USA where they bought eleven acres of land. They spent their first winter transforming a tiny home (measuring 166 square feet) and building a potting shed, bath house (112 square feet), pottery studio (392 square feet), and chicken coup and christened their new home Sugarhouse Homestead.
