Everything You Need, Without The Bills

So, you’re planning on going off the grid. Just really get disconnected from the world and live life on your own without any worries? Imagine a home in the middle of nowhere, but it can still give you everything you need? Well, this house might just blow you away.

This pre-fabricated farmhouse is self-sustaining; the concept of the house is to be able to provide functionality through its design. Such as the idea behind the general shape of the home which is a simple square with an open center courtyard allowing for a generous helping of natural light for all sides as well as ventilation. Not only that, the remote location of this farmhouse consists of a 360-degree view of the breathtaking natural landscapes which will simply immerse you in your off-the-grid lifestyle. So, we have a home completely independent from the outside world that’s on a secluded island with beautiful natural scenery as far as the eye can see. Now, how can you say no to that?

Australian Architecture studio Lai Cheong Brown designed this prefabricated farmhouse which was brought, by truck and barge, largely complete, to the remote French Island in Victoria Australia.
