Inspired by the Love of Music

Electric violin player Asha Mevlana wanted a home that combined her love of music and so, she came up with the idea for an amplified tiny home. Located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Mevlana’s L-shaped house is composed of two separate parts – one is fixed to the ground while the other is free to go, and a large porch at unify the two with a cosy outdoor space.

The main house (400 sq ft), which rests on a foundation, features the kitchen, living room, bathroom and loft area. And a detached trailer (120 sq ft) adds as a studio/guest bedroom/rehearsal space. The amplifier on the front of the trailer actually works when you plug into it, and the trailer can be removed to travel with Asha when she hits the road.

The house is soundproof using recycled denim. It was also designed with high ceilings and large windows to brighten up the interior and make the small area feel more spacious.
