Sometimes Sticking to a Basic Design Could Be the Best Choice
Day after day we would see a couple of new cabins in the woods with some unique design, quirk or just something that would make them stand out from the rest; this is all good, of course, innovation is important when it comes to designing new cabins. However, there are times where one would focus a little too much on what new thing one can incorporate into one’s cabin design to the point where one would lose sight of what truly makes a cabin, well, a cabin.
In this case, the featured cabin which was built somewhere in the United Kingdom shows us how sticking to a basic design can still leave an impact. The signature gable roof along with its standard studio space keeps it simple and easy to manage. The home has a wide open deck for taking in some fresh air and admiring the surrounding views. Inside we are greeted with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, which is a staple for log cabins. The choice of furniture and the overall layout is of a minimalist style, which emphasizes on the concept of a simple lifestyle that log cabins are known for.
Now taking note of this, it’s okay to add in some of your own unique touches to your cabin design but just be careful not to forget the simple details that make a log cabin shine to bring out that signature classic log cabin charm.
The openings respond to different views and approaches to the cabin to capture the natural beauty of the surroundings. The internal space has been designed for various uses including working, sleeping and socializing, and is heated by a wood-burning stove.
