THE WINGS OF INSPIRATION

This Butterfly Studio Office Will Let Your Creativity Fly Free

Looking for a place where you can set your creative imagination free? Tired of being inside the suffocating four walls of an uninspired office? Well, Valerie Schweitzer Architects created an art studio and office made to cater to those needs. The Butterfly Studio is a 350 sq. ft. stand-alone office built to offer a work-conducive environment by incorporating a spacious interior design along with adequate skylights, giving you that much-needed breath of fresh air for your creative mind to start pumping out all those brilliant ideas.

Located in Westport, Connecticut, this office is made of stucco and recycled teak wood and a blend of steel and glass. Its structural design was inspired from a combination of butterfly wings and standing stone pillars giving it an irregular but very much unique design; a sight that will surely bring you a surge of creative inspiration.

Aside from the skylights, the office has thermal windows and a heated floor, making your work hours comfortably warm and cozy while providing you with generous natural lighting.

Have you ever dreamed of having a home studio where you could hide out and create one thing or another to your heart’s content? Well Butterfly Studio, designed by Valerie Schweitzer Architects and winner of the 2017 American Architecture Prize, is exactly that.
