This Is The Farmhouse of Your Dreams

This Dogtrot-Style Farmhouse in East Alabama Has Everything You Need

Beechwood Farm is located in Fitzpatrick, East Alabama. Inspired by the owner Debra Koehler’s 18th-century family home, architect Keith Summerour and Designer Melanie Millner teamed up to recreate the look and feel of Debra’s childhood summers.

The spacious 2,500 sq. ft. home can accommodate 14 people. It has hosted many family events and even the owner’s wedding! You will never run out of things to do at the vast 600-acre property.

Carefully sourced furniture gives the home a classic and timeless feel.

Dogtrot homes usually featured porches that ran the length of the home, and this one is no exception. The screened-in space serves many purposes: mudroom, entertaining hub, and nap destination. “You can always find someone relaxing in the willow daybed swing or a rocking chair,” Debra says.
