The Brilliance Beneath the Invisible Cloak: Smart Portable Home Fits Into Any Landscape

Intended as mobile hotel rooms for short-term stays, these sleek modern abodes with clean edges are clad in mirrored glass on all sides, camouflaging and blending into the surrounding landscape, almost disappearing.  What’s more, these gorgeous prefab homes designed and manufactured in Estonia take just 8 hours for on-site installation! Thanks to its tiny footprint of just 18 sq.m, it can be installed almost anywhere without the need for building permit.

Built primarily from steel, insulated glass, and thermally treated wood, the ÖÖD home features a studio layout with a large custom-made bed, kitchenette, living area, and bathroom. Home automation is built in as is adjustable floor heating and LED lighting. Homeowners would only need to hook the unit up to an Internet cable, water, sewage, and an electricity supply though off-grid solutions are currently being developed. An LG heat pump with moisture separator provides heating and cooling. Each unit accommodates two to three people, and costs 33,000 euros including custom-built Estonian furniture.
