WHAT ARE KURDHVAS, EXACTLY?

Unique Dwellings For A Wild, Unforgettable Stay

These eccentric, odd-shaped things are actually 3-legged shelters raised 8 feet from the ground. Named Kudhvas, the Cornish word for “hideout,” these structures offer beautiful views of the Cornish coast in the UK. The asymmetrical shape and the position of these dwellings were actually built in this particular way for the best views possible.

If those aren’t interesting enough, the Kudhvas also come with tensile tree tents assembled and suspended from the nearby trees. You will literally sleep under the stars in these tents.

There are plenty of activities available c/o your Kurdhva host, as well as interesting nature spots that are close by.

You can stay at the Kudhva from £122 or $170 per night, for a 2-night stay minimum. Kudhvas and the tree tents can sleep 2 people each.

When the trappings of life have become too much, there’s nothing better than shaking them off and taking some time to relax, contemplate, and get back on an even keel. And when that feeling comes knocking, that’s when your hideout at Kudhva is waiting.
