GET CREATIVE AND YOU CAN MAKE YOURSELF A TINY HOME OUT OF ANYTHING YOU CAN FIND
Remember those days when you would be riding on a school bus away from your home to school? Now imagine calling a school bus your home. That’s what Michael Talley made for himself out of a surplus Austin school bus.
With a little bit of know-how and some help from good old Youtube, he converted the bus into a cozy 202-square-foot home that’s got everything he needs. One of the major physical changes he gave the bus was heightening the ceilings for a little more breathing space. He made the interior of the bus homier by lining it with wood walls and wood flooring. Michael did such a great job with his tiny home that you’ll forget you’re even in a bus in the first place!
Now Talley’s days of spending $1,200 a month on a North Austin apartment are history. His 202-square-foot home is all he needs. The kitchen, with an IKEA sink, is even bigger than the one he had at his previous apartment he told Chron.com.
