The Paperhaus cabin is located on 2.5 desert acres of Joshua Tree, California. It is a secluded 1958 homesteader cabin with a loft-like space. A combination of vintage and new furnishings, it features an open plan with a massive stone fire place with a wooden stove. The cabin’s other interesting components are a swamp cooler, an eco-friendly alternative to air conditioning that works best in the dry desert for the bedroom area and an extraordinary wood-beam ceiling. In the bathroom you will find 1950s fixtures: sink, toilet and bathtub. This gem of a place is available for rent at $109 per night.
