A Gingerbread Style Weekend Home

Inspired by Hansel and Gretel

Located amidst a pine tree forest in Brandenburg, Germany, this little wooden cabin is used as a family weekend home.  The owners’ design nods towards its fairy-tale inspiration, as they wanted their cottage to look like one from a child’s imagination.  The house interior contains a bedroom, a bathroom and a living room with the warmth of wood yet a modern flair.  Take a look!

In the middle of a tall , dominated by pine trees , forest land is a new wooden house . In its outward form simple and restrained appearance it integrates into the growth of nature and gives the impression it is always there . At the same time makes the external appearance , with slightly flaring roof and dark wood facade , with the mythologies and fairy houses in the woods ( Hansel and Gretel ) . is accentuated by the dark building a building incision , or a few consciously placed façade openings with extra wide frame .
