A SUSTAINABLE AND ECO-FRIENDLY A-FRAME HOME

This Home Can Be Placed Anywhere Without Leaving Much of a Trace

Are you the type who’s always out on another adventure? Most likely when it comes to outdoor activities you’ll most likely find yourself in some remote location where you can enjoy your leisure time in nature but with this comes a small problem: a place to stay. Tents tend to feel too small and not so secure, and renting a place will only bring you unnecessary expenses plus there’s no guarantee the place you’ll be staying at will be conveniently close to wherever you may be planning your leisurely exploration.

Enter the Nolla, an A-Frame house-made simple, sustainable, and easily movable. It comprises of a 10-square-meter living space with a minimalist design. The concept of this home is to be easily installed wherever you need it to be thanks to its adjustable stilts. Its noteworthy characteristics include its incredibly low impact to the natural environment due to its self-sufficiency and use of renewable energy, its long lifespan since it’s easy to repair with easily replicated parts, and of course its efficiency when it comes to ease of assembly, disassembly, and transportation.

The Nolla is currently located in Helsinki, Finland and it has indeed been tested by the designer himself.

“One aspect that I wanted to bring to the design is movability. Why tear up the surroundings and leave the environment in pieces to slowly recover. Having a solution you can carry by hand to the chosen location you can start enjoying your stay as if it always been there – or hasn’t,” added the designer.
