ABODU 500 – YOUR NEW BACKYARD HOME

A LIVEABLE DIMINUTIVE ADDITION THAT WILL ALSO BOOST YOUR PROPERTY’S CURB APPEAL
If you have an unused area in your lot that can accommodate approximately 500 square feet of space, you might want to hear more about the Abodu 500 — the brainchild of the British firm Koto, and Abodu, a US company that specializes in Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
Despite the not very sizeable amount of its total space, the Abodu 500 was built with cathedral ceilings, space-maximizing design elements, and bright interior, which made the entire home more spacious than its limited measurements suggest.
The combination of a standing-seam metal roof and fiber cement cedar siding gave the exterior of the home an elegant yet easy feel vibe. Through a three-panel folding door, you’ll find a smart layout filled with built-in shelving and a simple, yet functional living space combined with a dining area. There is also a kitchen located on the other side, which leads through the home’s single bedroom and bath.
What’s more, the Abodu 500 also comes with high-efficiency, dual-paned windows, a smart thermostat and high-efficiency LED lighting. Internal/external furniture and deck, as well as landscaping upgrades are also available.
“Of the architectural partnership, Koto Design’s Johnathan Little said, “We have collaborated closely with Abodu to marry our award-winning design expertise with California’s coastal influence to develop a backyard home that is both beautiful and functional.”
