Also Known as a ‘Soul Box’ or ‘Spirit Shelter’?
This little guy, known as “Arcadia” is nothing if not unique! Chic, white, and vertical… this crazy-cool little structure is a stunning space built specifically for meditation and relaxation. That’s right, you workaholics, you’re not allowed to bring your laptop. Arcadia is also neat in that it’s portable since it folds and converts into a more compact box-like shape. The little space inside is efficiently laid out with compact furniture that makes it seem rather spacious actually. And since it’s so small, no penny was spared when it came to the wood… high quality only!
Matthias Prüger, Manuel Rauwolf and Ulrike Wetzel have designed a Seelenkiste, what google translates as a Soul Box, others translate as a Spirit Shelter. There are some very clever things going on that would be good lessons for tiny house builders. It would also make a terrific bunkie, those secondary buildings that cottagers build for extra accommodations. The most interesting aspect is how it works in section.
