Words directly from the Owner:
This lovely little cabin is tucked away under towering pines and near snow peaked mountains in the beautiful high desert of Bend, Oregon. Mount Bachelor is just 22 miles from downtown Bend and has been named by National Geographic as one of the World’s 25 Best Ski Towns. Bend has also been featured in National Geographic as one of America’s 10 Best Mountain Bike Towns.
This cabin is located in Three Rivers South with direct access to the Big Deschutes River and with an average of 300 sunny days a year, you can fish, swim, kayak and paddle board to your heart’s content. Sunriver, a beautiful resort community, is less than 10 minutes away and is home to 63 holes of world class golf, over 30 miles of paved biking/walking trails, horseback riding, water park, Oregon Observatory and Sunriver Nature Center.
Bend is a special place for outdoor enthusiasts as its location on the edge of the mountains and the desert allows for world class: skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, whitewater rafting, stand up paddle boarding, hunting, hiking, rock climbing, mountaineering, spelunking, mountain biking, road biking, fishing, running, and long distance running, and golfing. Bend also has the most craft breweries per capita and features the Bend Ale Trail, and Segway Tours.
I do not know much about the cabin’s history, but it is such a little gem, I know someone will love it. We did put the new porch on and hand peeled the log ourselves. I refinished and painted all the cabinets throughout the cabin and we cleared a lot of the property so it is very usable and beautiful.
