Rustic Exteriors coupled with Modern Interiors
Located in the Matanzas province of Cuba, this lovely home sits atop a coastal cliff. Built like a modern beach house, the minimalist exteriors are simple from afar, but wait til you take a closer look.
Casa Perez Muller was designed by WMR Arquitectos. It was built primarily with timber, accented with stone walls and large glass windows. It’s dark brown exterior walls allow it to blend well with the natural landscape, giving it a bit of a rustic vibe. It has a large elevated terrace at the back, complete with a picnic table, that can serve as a common area for social gatherings. It also has a spacious porch with a long bench perfect for lounging around and relaxing while the ocean breeze blows by. The back porch is separated from the interiors with large glass sliding doors which you can open up to add a lot more space and ventilation for the interior.
The insides are almost the complete opposite of the Casa Perez’ dark, rustic, exteriors. When you step inside, you are transported from the beach, to this modern, slick, and classy home. The Casa interiors are composed of a kitchen, dining area, living area, bathroom, and a bedroom on the second floor. The interiors are colored almost all white, accented with small bursts of color from furniture and decorative pieces. The white walls you a larger sense of space, while the large glass windows and doors let in a lot of natural light and perfectly frame the beautiful ocean and cliff side view. Truly a marvel to behold, Casa Perez-Muller is a beach house you’d definitely love to live in. Take a look through these photos and tell us what you think on our Facebook Page!
