Check Out These Luxurious Alpine Treehouses

Imagine Spending The Winter Season in A Place Like This!

Soon to rise in the forests of a small Alpine town in Kitzbühel, Austria, are these uniquely designed treehouses. It is meant to be part of a posh hotel, with the structures made of simple and local material. These wooden beams are arranged in a diagonal pattern called a diagrid frame. This structure is then enclosed by another layer of intersecting wood designed to bring in more light inside. Each treehouse ranges from 60-80 square meters. The actual houses are elevated and are accessible through a private glass elevator.

Inside, the treehouses do not fall short on luxury. Each treehouse has its own bedroom and bathroom. Those on the larger end can get their own living room and sauna as well. The walls inside are glazed providing guests with views of the surrounding greeneries and mountains. Aside from nature, guests can also access all amenities of the hotel.

“It should activate and amplify human senses with the use of simple and local materials while slowing down and living a moment within the top of the trees. A spatial experience within nature.”
