Re-live Your Childhood Adventures in Château Gauthié’s
It’s a house atop a hundred year old oak tree but don’t be fooled as this treetop cabin boasts of a double bed with en suite bathroom and minibar. The treehouse was designed to fit around the branches of the tree so expect to see some branches here and there. Climb up the spiraling staircase to the top and see the view of Château Gauthié’s surrounding meadows. It has the perfect view for breakfast.
The treehouse has all you need for a comfortable night stay including electric heating and lighting, plug sockets, and bed linen and towels. Don’t expect to get Wi-Fi though but the house also has other forms of entertainment such as cards, Connect4 and Chess.
Aside from the treehouse, guests can also check out the facilities in the château including an infinity pool and hot tub.
Stay at this lovely treehouse for £119 (~$155) a night.
The region has something for everyone, from medieval châteaux and gardens to caves and village markets – a trip to the Sunday market in local Issigeac is always recommended, and from here there are miles of hiking trails into the countryside.
