Colorful Cabins Made from Reclaimed Materials

From Scrap To Epic

Brad Kittel is in the business of examining and recovering components from old buildings, searching for specific materials that can be converted into beautiful tiny, handcrafted homes. His company, Tiny Texas Houses, then builds these tiny homes in….. you guessed it….. Texas, and then they’re easily delivered to the site of installation.  Unique and attractive, these cute little abodes by Tiny Texas Houses does a great job – in our opinion – of encouraging creative recycling of salvaged materials and an overall ec0-friendly approach.  Kudos!

Builder Brad Kittel makes these Texas “Tiny Houses” from 95% recycled materials. The only new elements of the home are electric systems, plumbing, and insulation. Unlike modern prefab mini-homes, each one is unique and reflects the style of its salvaged parts… Based in Gonzales, Texas, Kittel’s company specializes in scrap materials. Buyers can choose the components of their homes from Kittel’s inventory of second-hand doors, windows, paneling, and trim.
