Discover the Community that Took Tiny Living By Storm

Classic Outdoor Living

Boneyard Studios in Washington D.C. has mastered the art of building tiny structures for sustainable and cooperative tiny living.  Here we’re presenting two of their little handcrafted homes that you’re sure to adore.  Pera House and The Matchbox are the names of these little abodes, and despite the small size you’ll see they actually have plenty of space for anybody adept at micro living.  Take a look at these photos, and then tell us what you think on our Facebook Page!

The Matchbox

The Matchbox is a 140-square foot house that, upon completion, will be fully off-grid, zero-waste, and self-sustaining. The house combines a mix of modern design and sustainability techniques with older and proven natural methods such as shou sugi ban for siding protection, rain chains for rain catchment, skylights and wide windows for passive cooling, and earthen plaster for humidity control.
