It’s A Minimalist Refuge Within Nature

Designed to encapsulate a light way of living, this contemporary home in Lake Tahoe, California gives its guests a private retreat nestled amongst nature. Called the Lighthus, the rental property has a simple wooden and glass exterior. Inside, space is maximized through the minimal addition of modern furniture and fixtures.

Large windows surround the house which provide a seamless integration of the indoors and the outdoors. The master’s suite has direct access to the garden patio with the cedar hot tub. Natural light fills the entire space. The kitchen is designed with a dark counter island providing a stark contrast with its light wooden surroundings.
