DON’T ABANDON SHIP!

There’s No Swimming Away From These Shipwrecks

Shipwreck Lodge is a collection of cabins located on the Namibian coast in Africa. As the name suggests, they were built to look like the aftermath of a fleet of ships in a sea storm. This a place where you can get away from it all; the surrounding landscape of sand and the coast will make you feel like you’re really stranded on a deserted island but without the life-threatening part.

The lodges will give you an off-the-grid feel as you enjoy the peace and serenity of the coastline. Instead of water, natural light floods the interior of the shelters thanks to the generously-sized windows. So book a night or two and stay in the Shipwreck Lodge, it may cost you at least $760 per night but I assure you it’s worth every penny.

It offers eight twin or double rooms and two family tents, all ensuite and solar-powered, set around a lounge and restaurant. Activities include game drives with elephant and desert lion, sunset viewings from the top of the sand dunes, and 4×4 excursions to the Clay Castles.
