KAWKAWLIN TOWNSHIP, MI — A 180-acre deer preserve featuring a combination of woods and meadows, interconnecting manmade lakes and ponds stocked with game fish, miles of trails and a log cabin are for sale in the Bay County community of Kawkawlin Township. The outdoor enthusiast’s paradise located off West Beaver Road, just east of 9 Mile Road, is listed at $1.39 million. The builder, Louis Kaczynski, also is the homeowner. Branigan called him a “renowned builder” who has built million-dollar homes, including in the Sanford Lake area and on Bay County’s Athlone Beach. “When you put in the best quality materials that you can buy and you’re doing it to the best of your ability, it just stands out to be, you know, just a premium home,” Branigan said. The home at 394 W. Beaver Road was built in 1985. It touts four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, a loft studio, workshop, office, two fireplaces and a three-season room overlooking a pond with waterfall.
