From Storage Shed to Cozy Cabin
Previously a Boathouse…
What once was just a boathouse storage shed is now an ideal little lakeside cabin, especially geared for relaxation and fun. Set in the dense green location of Orono, Minnesota, where nature shows off its different shades, the cottage is the perfect spot for swimmers and recreational fishermen (or fisherwomen) alike. And the inside? Lovely, and warm as can be because of all the natural wood. Take a look at these photos!
Inspired by English cottages, this boathouse and its gardens also take their cue from the detailing of wooden boats. Originally a storage shed, this little building could not be expanded or moved due to zoning restrictions. Albertsson Hansen carefully utilized the existing shell to create a recreation pavilion.
