BROADEN YOUR HORIZONS BY LIVING IN A TINY TRAILER HOME
When it comes to housing, we tend to steer towards homes that are big and stylish. The kind of homes that would basically have everything we need. Because of this preference in our modern lifestyles, we tend to overlook other things that we actually need more nowadays. Things like a close connection to nature, and even genuine connections with people.
Simply living in a home with indoor plants or in an apartment complex won’t really cut it. Being rooted in one place won’t allow you to truly experience what the world has to offer. That’s what Sharon realized she was missing when she finally decided to live full-time in a tiny teardrop trailer home.
Living the nomadic life allowed her to really be in touch with both the beautiful world and the people around her. The mobility and size of the trailer gave Sharon the freedom to simply find a spot and just live there. This means she has the freedom of having front row seats to what would be the best views and locations she can find. Her trailer is also equipped for off-the-grid living, further adding more possibilities.
The traveler’s lifestyle also allowed her to finally just socialize with people around her. This, she shared, was something she never really could do when living in even the grandest of homes or complexes. Living in a small home also taught her to live life modestly. This meant learning what exactly you need, rather than burying everything under things that you only want.
“The best thing about a little rig like this is it forces you to spend a lot of time about outside,” she explains. “When you’re doing this lifestyle it’s about being out in nature and enjoying other people. When you’re in a little rig you can hole up too long or you’ll get a little nuts and you got to come outside.”
