Geuloever: Prefabricated then Reassembled

Retreating Along the River
This little wooden eco-cottage is called “Geuloever”, and it’s located along the river in Gulpen-Witten (the Netherlands). It was actually prefabricated elsewhere within about 3 months, and then reassembled again on this stunning site with lovely views of nature. Although it may look small, it actually contains two bedrooms along with a full living area and kitchen. Be sure to catch the video on page 3!
If you’re a true nature-lover, then Geuloever will inspire you to build the Eco-house of your dreams. Situated in Gulpen-Witten, The Netherlands this small prefabricated wooden house is full of surprising details. Once passed the front door, an open space conceals living, dining and kitchen areas immersed with daylight by full-height windows. Two bedrooms and a toilet complete the interior of this small prefab cabin. The facade presents an unusual type of material: burned cypress planks provide a mysterious appearance to Geuloever. The remaining constructive elements are made from local trees.
