This Home Completely Blends With Its Surroundings Without A Trace
Imagine a house that’s almost completely hidden in plain sight, giving off not even a single sign of its presence. That is what the Disappear Retreat by COULSON is; this home is designed to not only provide a high level of privacy but is also designed to function using almost no waste, no energy, and no water.
The exterior is mostly clad in reflective glass, with one side lined with a thin film of solar cells from which the dwelling gets all of its energy from. With the glass being a sort of one-way mirror, anyone inside the dwelling will still be able to admire the beauty of the natural surroundings. The Disappear Retreat has a companion structure called the Shed which provides composting and filtering and treatment of rainwater. The interior is minimalist, making it a solitary retreat for those seeking a place to recuperate their minds within nature.
Disappear Retreat brings lightness in mind, resource use, and design with all essentials and systems seamlessly integrated allowing the surrounding beauty to be the focus, living in balance with nature.
