The Elevated Cabin
This timber construction with its beautifully exposed columns and beams was design by Prentiss Balance Wickline Architects. Located in Mazama, Washinton, the house is made to be environmentally friendly with its raised floor using small concrete piers. One of the best features of this house is its long catwalk to the entry that opens up to an interior space of 1-1/2 storeys high. The common area features a spacious living area with a central fireplace. Both ends of the residence have indoor/outdoor spaces.
