Hand Sculpted from Natural Materials
Located in Mayne Island, British Columbia, this Cob Cottage was built by CobWorks and the Cob Cottage Company back in 1999. It has been featured in numerous publications, especially for its remarkable carpentry. Made with skilled builders (to say the least), the house is able to highlight its interesting choice of materials like cob, wood and lime plaster. Its features are shown especially in its curved beams, ceilings, and counter tops, and of course the suspended staircase. It almost feels like stepping into a fairy tale with its elegant curved bench by the window, beautiful fireplace molding, and arched doorways. And if you feel up for a visit, you have the opportunity to stay at the Cob Cottage for around $110 per night. Take a look at these photos and tell us what you think on our Facebook Page!
