Luxurious Mountain Retreat in Martis Camp

Home Plate Lodge Makes Best Use of the Limited Buildable Space in a Steep Mountain Location
Design Firm Ward-Young Architecture & Planning had to think long and hard about the construction of Home Plate Lodge. Standing on a steep mountain property in Martis Camp, Truckee, California, it is quite evident that the design was a smashing success.
The owners intended it to be a legacy home for their two sons. At 5,592 square feet, Home Plate Lodge boasts of stunning views from 2 different directions.
Designed as a lodge style home, the design scheme blends rustic and contemporary elements. A connection between indoor-outdoor living spaces was achieved through the use of several pocketing Weiland door walls. This enables simple access to spacious terrace/covered porches for entertaining and relaxation.
