PEACEFUL HOME AMIDST HARSH LANDSCAPES

It’s Made Out Of Welsh Slate

Located in a Welsh valley known for its grim weather stands Slate Cabin. The cabin stands out with its dark rectangular exterior set against a backdrop of mountains and forestries. Made out of recycled slate tiles, the cabin provides a strong foundation amidst frequent wind, rain and snow.

The tiny home is a stark contrast to its exterior environment. Where the outdoors are harsh and rigid, the indoors boast of a peaceful, spacious and light atmosphere that makes use of birch plywood. The cabin has a single room where all activities are done from sleeping to cooking. Every inch of the house is maximized to ensure that there is ample space and storage available for all amenities one would need for a comfortable stay.

The 1,000 sq. ft. Slate Cabin is meant to showcase both impermanence and permanence through a thoughtfully-designed space.

The space is a continuous balance of efficiency and comfort. All services are self-contained, which means that the cabin operates off-the-grid.
