Pre-Fab Modern Cabins With Good Design

Seattle’s Fab-Cab Offers It All

Pre-manufactured housing is becoming more and more prevalent in today’s home buying market. But that doesn’t mean good design has to go out the window! FabCab, based out of Seattle, is a “smart-living” company that, as they put it, “designs and sells pre-fabricated environmentally-friendly homes” that can be used as a “home, guest house, home office, writer’s or artist studio, caregiver’s residence, in-law apartment, rental unit, or a cabin on a vacation property.”

All their timber they include in the pre fab kits is top quality and can be delivered right to the land you want the home, studio, guest house, or cottage built on and then put together by a contractor. It’s as easy as that! There are a variety of sizes and floor plans you can choose from, ranging in price. What I personally like about their designs is that they are really open concept and very contemporary looking, but still with a natural feel, with all the natural wood. I love how high the ceilings are and the windows that they put in are very large to maximize the light coming into the home.

They are very affordable in price as well, for example, a home that is 550 square feet would be around $48,500 for the exterior and $33,000 for the interior. So that is not bad when you think of how much it usually costs to buy a home or build a larger home.
