Get Lost in the Middle of Nowhere As You Go For a Retreat in This California PreFab Home
Boasting a low-impact and minimalist design, the Sol to Soul is equipped with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and it can be accessed via a two-hour drive from Los Angeles. It has state-of-the-art finishes, fixtures, and Wolf Sub-Zero appliances that are paired with cooling and heating system. More so, it is designed to allow natural light optimally. With a minimal opening on the south façade of the property, it is shielded against the direct sunlight and to assure privacy.
Entirely constructed in two years, its design is filled with innovations. From connecting the property to a new underground service line, water well, and a waste management system everything was carefully planned. All in all, it was a desert home where every aspect needs to be built from the ground up.
“In addition to the use of hydronic heating and cooling, the home further reduces its energy footprint with low-E windows, low-flow fixtures, and passive solar orientation that shields the interiors from the harsh desert sun. Longworth plans to add solar panels to her home in the future.”
