Spacious Lakeside Cottage in Montreal

The Perfect Home For Your Growing Family
YH2 Architecture from Montreal, Canada designed this beautiful lakeside home near Lac Plaisant in Mauricie, Quebec. Called the Window on the Lake, it’s almost entirely built of timber with 3 large glass panels that allows bright, natural lighting in the home. The large gabled building measures 1,500 square feet, and was constructing in a small clearing just few steps from the lake.
The designers describe this home as gentle, simple, and pure — an expression of the art of living. We couldn’t agree more.
The Window on the Lake has two storeys and it sleeps up to 12 people.
Built of timber inside and out, Window on the Lake was designed to “capture the essence of cottage life” by creating a sense of warmth and connection with nature. The gabled building is clad entirely in white cedar that will develop a patina as it weathers over time.
