STEAM CARRIAGE AS A HOME? WHY NOT?

Anything Can Be A Home With Just A Little Bit Of Ingenuity!
Who knew that an old steam carriage can be repurposed into a beautiful and luxurious home? That is exactly what happened to this old carriage in Forrest, Victoria, Australia. Originally built in 1926, the steam carriage had a long history as a transportation vehicle before being decommissioned in 1983. Since then, it has served as a live-in shed and workshop. Today, it has been converted into a gorgeous three-bedroom home complete with a kitchen and bathroom.
Renovation work took nine months to complete. During this time, the walls and floors were restored and repainted. Modern touches such as stainless steel kitchen appliances, crystal chandeliers, and an outdoor Victorian bath were also added. To retain its vintage aesthetic, salvageable items such as the Victorian sink and the classic light switches were retained. The result is a unique and luxurious home worthy of world-class living.
The most dramatic change was painting the exterior black. It instantly upgraded it from ramshackle to retreat.
