STUNNING TINY HOMES PRODUCED IN A DAY

All About the 3D Printing Austin Startup “Icon” And These 2,000 Sq. Ft. Spaces
The remarkable Austin startup named “Icon” can produce a tiny home that is 2,000 square feet in size under an astounding 3 days! Even better how smaller homes can be done faster and under 24 hours which is a feat in itself.
Each “traditional” home costs roughly $290,000 while the groundbreaking homes from Icon cut the costs down to a maximum of 50%. With only a permit that requires a space is liveable, Icon built a 350 square foot home in East Austin that cost only $10,000 to print and totals to only $40,000 overall, making it the first 3D printer home.
Their new tech, The Vulcan II is fully automated, which includes mixing and pumping. The printers are actually shipped to wherever a home is requested to be built, and only requires assembly once the printing is done. You can watch your home rise and be built right in front of you.
Icon cofounder Evan Loomis stated that pinpointing an exact cost estimate is tricky, but the company successfully printed a 350-square-foot proof-of-concept home for $10,000 in 24 hours in 2018.
