A TEACHER’S LESSON IN BETTER SPACE MANAGEMENT

Bring Out The Best of Tiny House Living

This tiny home will amaze you with its smart design choices and focus on making full use of every inch of living space. This home features hidden storage areas under the couch and stairs. It also has wide, horizontal windows which allow for natural light to flood into the interior.

Some of the materials in the home are made lightweight by designing their interiors with a honeycombed structure, making the home more suitable for towing. In addition, the full-size stove could run on bottled-fuel and the home has an incinerating toilet giving it some off-grid capabilities.

In the Netherlands, high school teacher Remco Stadhouders built this 206-square-foot (19 square meters) tiny house for himself, after being inspired by the ones he saw on a recent trip to the United States. Even though Stadhouders had no building experience in the beginning, the end result is impressive: a small house that has distinct zones for sitting, cooking, working and rest, and feels and looks like any conventional home.
