The Curved Roof Wheelie Cabin

All the Right Curves in All the Right Places
This little wooden lodge has all the right curves in all the right places. Well, it’s really just the roof that’s curvy, but we love it nonetheless! This tiny house that boasts style and exuberance is actually sitting on a trailer, and ready to roll. It is outfitted with all the major appliances and furnishings. Structural Spaces in Canada has done a wonderful job in this little accommodation both good-looking and functional. Check out these photos!
Even if tiny homes are built small, they don’t have to feel like little claustrophobic boxes with gabled roofs. We’ve seen a number of designers play with this potential space in different ways, such as using a shed roof that gives more headroom, or even curving the roof to create a more spacious feeling. Vancouver, Canada’s Chad Smith ofStructural Spaces takes the latter route with this stunning build that features a custom-built curved roof, its beams milled out of an unwanted cedar tree that was not growing straight. The Curved 260 Micro Home weighs around 11,000 lb (4,990 kg) and sits on a custom trailer. The interior of the two-story Curved 260 Micro Home looks sensibly arranged and spacious, and includes generous glazing to ensure ample natural light. The main living space has a wood-burning stove (there’s also an electric heater), while the kitchenette sports propane burners and on-demand hot water. The bathroom features a toilet, sink and a double-head shower. Structural Spaces sees the Curved 260 Micro Home serving as a primary home, or additional guest quarters. It’s currently up for sale and priced at CAD 90,000 (US$71,200).
