The Perfect Winter Retreat

This Sweet Home in Malalcahuello, Chile Offers Pristine Forest Views

This pine and glass creation from mc2 Arquitectos stands at 50 square meters in Malalcahuello, Chile. Access to the home is via an elevated walkway as heavy snowfall tends to obscure the surrounding path.

The large floor to ceiling glass window allows a view of a creek and a small waterfall. The creators intended it as a space for deep observation of the natural environment, especially in the winter!

Outside is painted in  dark brown, blending with the landscape, trying to disappear. The interior is a single space, generous considering its actual size, clear and warm, bleached pine wood. The place to sleep this resolved in separate attics, content and isolated, thus freeing the first plan  for daytime activities.
