[VIDEO] Tiny Log Cabin Under $500?

A Spare Time Masterpiece

Here is this inspirational man who set out to build the most affordable cabin ever.  That’s right, under $500. In this video, he shares with us all the details and material sources used in building this tiny rustic cabin.  Sit back, relax, and watch him get to work.  Just press the play button below!

This cabin took 8 months to build. It’s 52 logs and we started in the fall built through the winter and into the spring. I did this with the youth group from my church and I have no previous construction experience. I started doing a lot of research. The snow is still up around the cabin but I can really tell that there are another three roes of logs underneath the door. So when the snow goes away, the cabin is going to look a little taller. For the roof, I just used a heavy duty tarp, its a cheap and easy solution. There is no doorknob or anything but I added this little string in here, it releases the latch and then you are able to go inside. The cabin is 10×10 feet here but with the loft it is 10×16 feet. Right here we have waste oil stove which is a donation, homemade stove.  The roof is at 45 degree angle. These windows are another donation to the cabin.
