Warning: This Will Make You Want to Move

Self-Catering and Tranquil

Picture this:  A lovely little chalet awaits at the top of Petit Chatel, and if you can just get yourself there, you’ll have the time of your life!  This little dreamy lodge is called Chalet Morclan, and it’s a luxurious vacation rental with four bedrooms and such spectacular views that if you go out on the deck you might just forget to ever go back inside.  Check out these photos and be sure to take the video tour on page 3!

Chalet Morclan is just 3km from the beautiful village of Manigod, where the church often hosts concerts and organ recitals as well as masse. You’ll struggle to take your eyes off the stunning views from this chalet near Manigod. The large terraces on two sides of the house are the perfect place from which to admire the mountains of the Manigod valley – Etale, the Aiguille de Manigod, Mont Charvin, Val Sulens, and La Tournette. Sitting on the crest of a hill, the chalet enjoys total privacy. It is reached by a lane which is kept clear of snow, but the 100m drive can be tricky to negotiate in winter – visitors may need to leave the car at the bottom and walk the last bit to be on the safe side! But it’s absolutely worth the effort. The spacious entrance hall leads to a well-equipped kitchen and a bright and spacious living/dining room. Two comfortable sofas and two large pouffes surround an open fire and the dining table has plenty of room for everyone to eat together. There’s a music system and television offers a choice of French and English channels, but in good weather, open the doors on to the large terrace and eat outside so that you can enjoy the fabulous views. There’s a large double bedroom on this floor, which opens on to another sunny terrace and has an ensuite shower room. When you stay at Chalet Morclan you’re right in the heart of some great skiing, without the hustle and bustle of the purpose-built ski resorts. Parking is free at the Croix Fry sector of the La Clusaz pistes (altitude 1500m), 10km away, and the ski bus stops in Manigod, just 3km away.
