WHY NOT RENT OUT YOUR GARAGE AS A GUESTHOUSE INSTEAD?

Repurpose Your Old Garage Into A Rental Property
So have an old garage and you don’t know what else to do with it other than use it as a storage area. Why not turn it into a guesthouse and get yourself some passive income? Well, here’s someone who did just that with his garage and the results are amazing!
In Berkeley, California an owner repurposed his garage into a little cottage nicknamed ‘Cubby’ and is now available for rent. Complete with everything you would find in a modern home, this cottage has been reborn into a lovely guesthouse; with light colors to brighten up the mood, glass doors on both sides for an open-air home feel, and a generous number of windows for loads of natural light and beautiful views of the outside. It may just be 750 square feet, but it was designed to not feel cramped with the right choice of paint color, number of windows, and the charming exposed-beam ceiling.
If you know anything about the tiny house movement, you probably know that small homes are often born from rundown, unused, or previously uninhabitable spaces, such as shipping containers. Similarly, this cozy getaway was once a garage, but new wood floors, a little paint, and a whole lot of personality have transformed an old storage space into an inviting guesthouse.
