YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHAT THIS HOME IS MADE OUT OF!

Hint: It’s Portable Too!
With modern lifestyle being always on-the-go and easily adaptable, it is not surprising that homes nowadays have also shifted to accommodate this way of living. It is with this in mind that the owners of this home have decided to construct their house using two shipping containers. Located in a park in Poznan, Poland, the containers were prepared in a facility prior to assembling it onsite. Despite its modern metal exteriors, the inside of this container home boasts of a minimalist design which makes use of birch wood.
The containers were strategically arranged to fully maximize its 52 sqm (560 sq ft) of interiors while also providing around 24 sqm (258 sq ft) of greenery. It is complete with amenities such as a living room, kitchen, work area, bedroom, and bathroom. The terrace also provides a relaxing spot where guests can hang out. Despite being in a box, this unique home actually has a lot of windows that let natural light in.
The container home has been designed to adapt to the conditions of the place where it is located and can thus be customizable.
The cabin was partially placed on the roof of previously standing containers, which serve as storage space for a garden. Due to the sloping terrain and views, the solid was shifted by half its length, creating a large terrace on one side facing the nearby river, and on the other side, it came closer to the plot, lowering the height needed to enter it.
